Construction Training Fund

What is CTF?

The Construction Training Fund (CTF) is a government initiative aimed at supporting the construction industry by funding training for workers in various sectors. This fund helps workers obtain the necessary skills and certifications to meet industry requirements and improve their capabilities, ensuring they stay competitive in the workforce.

At Saferight, we are a registered training organisation (RTO) that is eligible to deliver training funded by the CTF. We offer a range of nationally recognised courses in mining, construction, and safety, and help eligible workers access this funding to support their career development.

In accordance with Saferight’s collaborative partnership with CFMEU, a CTF discount facilitated through a Gap Payment method is exclusively available to CFMEU Members. All students can apply for a CTF Rebate with CTF, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.

At Saferight, we work with CTF to help eligible students access funding for their training. The subsidy to eligible students/applicants is $31 per hour multiplied by the training hours or 70% of the total course fee (whichever is lower).

Here’s an example on how we calculate your CTF funding for a course that lasts for 4 days (8 hours/day):

Course Fee $1,300

70% of Course Fee $910 (70% x $1,300)

$31/hour x 32 hours $992

CTF Discount $910 (Lower option)

You Only Pay The Gap $390 ($1,300 – $910)

Interested students/applicants will need to fill out Saferight’s Construction Training Fund (CTF) Application Form and “pay the gap” prior to booking a course with us.

You will receive an email about the status of your application within 3 business days after submission of the Saferight CTF Form.
