Refund & Cancellation

Overview

Saferight is committed to providing quality training and assessment in accordance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (SRTOs 2015). The purpose of this policy is to provide for the appropriate handling of client refunds.

*Please note that all cancellations and refund requests must be sent via email to bookings@saferight.com.au in writing

**Notification is considered received once it is communicated to Saferight. Therefore, notification must occur during regular business hours 7:30am to 3:30pm – Monday to Friday. For example, notifications of cancellation/changes emailed on Friday 5:00pm will only be acknowledged as received on the following Monday at 7:30am.

  • Course Cancelled

    *Saferight reserves the right to cancel or change course dates on short notice

    • If Saferight cancels a course:
      • Clients do not have to apply for a refund, Saferight will process the refunds for 100% of the course fee automatically.
      • In the first instance Saferight will (where possible) provide an opportunity for the client to attend another scheduled course.

  • Withdrawing From A Course

    If you choose to withdraw from a course:

    • In writing, less than 14 standard business days prior to the course commencement
      • Saferight will refund 50% of the course cost.
    • In writing, less than 7 standard business days prior to the course commencement
      • No refund is available

     

    If the client is withdrawn from the course by Saferight:

    • After course commencement, due to inappropriate behaviour
      • No refund is available

  • Illness

    If you are unable to attend due to illness:

    • No refund is available
        • You must notify Saferight and provide a medical certificate from a doctor on the day of the course (before 12 PM). There will be a $50 payable to reschedule your course.
          • Online medical certificates are not accepted by Saferight.

  • Not Yet Competent/Non-Completion

    If for any reason you do not finish your course or have been deemed as not yet competent:

    • No refund is available
      • However, if you’d like to re-sit the exam (not the full course, just the exam), you will need to pay 50% of the course fee.

  • Other Reason

    Refund is not available if:

    • You want to refund after rescheduling is made
    • You book for a course that will commence the next day or within the next 3 business days as the principle of 3 business-day refund policy takes precedence
    • You fail to attend or arrive as per the course start time
      • Reschedule is available by paying another 50% of the course fee
    • You breach Saferight’s disciplinary procedures
    • You have commenced your course/unit
    • And, there is no refund for recognition of prior learning assessments after enrolment, where recognition resources and services have been supplied to the client.

     

    If you are unable to attend due to any other reason:

    • No refund is available
      • You must notify Saferight 3 business days (72 hours’ notice) before the commencement of your course to reschedule.
      • If you provide less than 3 business days’ notice, you will need to pay half of your course fees.

     

    *In the case of extreme hardship or extenuating circumstances preventing participation in the course, an application can be made to the RTO Manager (rto@saferight.com.au) for a refund. Submitting an application does not guarantee a full or partial refund. 

  • Refund Method

    For any form of refund, Saferight will remit the refund to the:

    • Same Eway payment gateway reference number that you’ve used to pay for training/equipment or
    • same credit card that you’ve used to pay for training/equipment or
    • same bank details with bank account holder name that you’ve used to pay for training/equipment.

     

    The Managing Director is responsible for ensuring compliance with this policy. The Financial Controller or their delegate will process eligible refund requests within 1 week from the day of receipt.
