What Is a VOC Reach Stacker Assessment?
A VOC Reach Stacker assessment is a theory and practical assessment that confirms you’ve maintained the skills and knowledge behind your existing Reach Stacker licence.
A VOC (Verification of Competency) Reach Stacker assessment doesn’t replace your original ticket, it verifies that you’re still competent to use it.
Specifically, this assessment confirms that an individual has maintained the skills and knowledge attained as per TLILIC0011 – Licence to operate a reach stacker or equivalent.
Who Needs a VOC Reach Stacker Assessment?
Many WA mine sites, principal contractors and civil employers require a current VOC commonly one issued within the last two years before you can operate a Reach Stacker on their site.
You likely need a VOC Reach Stacker assessment if:
- A mine site or principal contractor has requested proof of current competency
- Your workplace requires a VOC issued within the last two years for site access
- It’s been a while since you performed Reach Stacker work and you need to demonstrate you’re still competent
- A new employer or project requires verification before you start on the tools
What You Need Before Booking
A VOC only verifies an existing qualification. It is not a nationally accredited training that replaces your current Reach Stacker licence. To be assessed, you must already hold
A valid TLILIC0011 – Licence to operate a reach stacker and High Risk Work Licence (or equivalent)
If you don’t yet hold a Reach Stacker licence, a VOC isn’t the right starting point. You’ll need to complete the full Reach Stacker course first. Before booking, please ensure your high-risk licence hasn’t expired. High Risk Work Licences expire every 5 years, and a VOC can’t be performed on a lapsed licence.
Entry Requirements
- Must hold a valid high-risk work licence & Statement of Attainment for TLILIC0011 – Licence to operate a reach stacker or equivalent.
- Present a valid photo I.D. on arrival
- Ability to read, write and understand English. If you have any concerns about your Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) skills, we encourage you to contact us before enrolling.
Disclaimer: Individuals holding a student visa are not eligible to enrol in, participate in, or attend this course, whether face-to-face or online, as Saferight is not registered with CRICOS (Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students). Certification
On successful completion participants will receive a VOC (Verification of Competency) Certificate for TLILIC0011 – Licence to operate a reach stacker.

If you have any physical conditions that may affect your ability to complete a course, please visit a doctor and obtain a “Fit for Work” certificate, and send it to our bookings email. Saferight reserves the right to cancel your enrolment if this documentation is not provided and you are deemed unfit for training. Additionally, cancellation fees will apply if adequate notice is not given.
Transport & Parking
Fremantle facility: Free parking available on-site and street-parking is available near the facility with a fee.
If you incur any parking or train ticket fees, simply present your parking/train ticket to our front desk admin. We will happily provide you with a free $11 voucher redeemable at our on-site food truck, which is available every 9 AM on weekdays.
