Learners with Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) needs are supported, but assessment may be required before enrolment. A ‘Fit for Work’ medical certificate is required if you have physical conditions that may affect participation. Student visa holders are not eligible to enrol because Saferight is not CRICOS-registered.

Yes. Completing the three Units of Competency with Saferight is one part of becoming a Statutory Supervisor. To be appointed, candidates must also pass the separate Statutory Supervisor examination administered by the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS). Refer to the DMIRS website for examination dates, format and fees.

Under the WHS (Mines) Regulations (WA) 2022, the Site Senior Executive is the most senior officer on a mine site responsible for the operation. A C6 (TLILIC0023) authorises operation of a slewing mobile crane up to 60 tonnes maximum rated capacity. A C0 (TLILIC0020) is the open ticket — it authorises operation of slewing mobile cranes over 100 tonnes MRC. You must hold a current C6 (and dogging CPCCLDG3001) before you can enrol in the C0 course.
