Provide CPR overview
This course is aimed at anyone who wants to learn essential to learn or refresh their CPR skills and may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations.
Participants will attain the practical application and understanding required to provide CPR for both adults and infants. Participants will be able to:
- Respond to an emergency situation.
Perform CPR procedures in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines including:
- Perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) (5 cycles of both compressions and ventilations) on an adult resuscitation mannequin.
- Perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer CPR (5 cycles both compressions and ventilations) on an infant resuscitation mannequin.
- Communicate details of the incident.

You will be enrolled into the following unit of competency:
Entry Requirements
- Must be 18 years old and above
- Present a valid photo I.D. on arrival
- Have a USI (Unique Student Identifier)
- Complete the Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) Assessment. If you have any concerns about your LLN skills, we encourage you to contact us before enrolling.
- If you have any physical conditions that may affect your ability to complete a course, please visit a doctor and obtain a “Fit for Work” certificate, and send it to our bookings email.
- Individuals holding a student visa are not eligible to enrol in, participate in, or attend this course, whether face-to-face or online, as Saferight is not registered with CRICOS (Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students). On successful completion of this course, students will be issued with a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for the unit below along with a wallet sized card:
The Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines state CPR skills should be refreshed every 12 months.
The Unique Student Identifier (USI) must be supplied and verified prior to issuance.
