Saferight is an accredited and Registered Training Organisation (RTO Code 5722), providing safety training high-quality equipment to high-risk industries as well as conducting compliance audits to different sectors. Our dedicated and professional team will assess and evaluate your organisation’s system to ensure that it has full regulatory compliance as required by national and jurisdictional legislation within Australia.

What is a compliance audit?

An extensive examination of a company’s compliance with legal requirements is known as a compliance audit. Reports on compliance audits assess the robustness and completeness of risk management practices, security policies, user access restrictions, and compliance preparations.

Is compliance audit mandatory?

Having a compliance audit will not just benefit and guarantee the safety of your organisation but also ensures that your organisation fully complies with the external policies mandated by the national and jurisdictional legislation within Australia. By being fully regulatory compliant, your organisation can avoid potential legal issues and federal fines for not being compliant. Read how Saferight conducts compliance audits below.

How do you conduct a compliance audit?

Saferight’s Heights Safety Technicians are trained and experienced professionals to that conduct audits at your premises to ensure your facility is compliant with the Australian Standards, legislation, and codes. By doing so, Saferight personnel will:

  • Plan and prepare to ensure that the right resources will be utilized properly and to execute the audit in the most efficient and effective way.
  • Collect the needed and necessary information to have a checklist.
  • Conduct a meeting with the organization involved.
  • Collect and investigate audit information through observations and interviews.
  • Assess, compile, and evaluate all the collected information.
  • Implement a plan of action.
  • Establish audit follow-ups.

During the full site compliance audit, our trained and experienced professional Height Safety Technicians will conduct a full site compliance audit to ensure that your anchor points, static lines, walkways, and ladders are safe for use and organised for unprecedented situations.

For a site to be compliant, the Height Safety Technician will access the following:

  • Roof access
  • Anchor points
  • Static lines
  • Walkways
  • Ladders
  • Platforms

After accessing and evaluating the above information, Saferight will provide you with a detailed report outlining any changes or recommendations and provide a quote to re-certify your systems. Failure to follow the given recommendations will implicate more risk to your business. As such, a follow-up plan of action will also be provided to measure the effectiveness of the given recommendations.

In the grand scheme of things, non-compliance with the laws, regulations, and Australian Standards can only increase the risks for your company and result in fines from the federal government that might worsen the situation therefore a compliance audit is a critical and important part of every business. Going through it will ensure a safe and stress-free environment within your organisation, maintain a good reputation, and avoid federal fines.
