To enrol in the Cert III Mines Rescue in Perth WA, participants must:

  1. Must be 18 years old and above
  2. Present a valid photo I.D. on arrival
  3. Complete a ‘Fitness to Complete Training’ form. The student is required to declare any medical issue that may exclude them from full participation
  4. Complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test to determine if the applicant has the required skill level to complete the course.
  5. Ability to read, write and understand English

However, industry standards recommend retraining every 2 to 5 years depending on industry experience, skills and current competencies of the student. Only certain units require refreshing, these can be booked through us as individual courses which you can refer to our website under the Refresher category.

A High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) is a photographic licence, issued to people who have been trained and assessed as competent to work in a class of work defined as high-risk work.

Saferight does not process High Risk Work Licence applications on students’ behalf. During your training at Saferight, we equip you with all the essential information and paperwork needed to apply for your High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) directly with WorkSafe WA.

Saferight offers passport photo printing service for $20 (not included in course fee), which includes a set of 6 passport photos. A passport photo is required when applying for a High Risk Work Licence and will be conveniently provided to you during your training.
