Can I enrol in Saferight courses if I hold a student visa?

Individuals holding a student visa are not eligible to enrol in, participate in, or attend any of our courses, whether face-to-face or online. Because Saferight is not registered with CRICOS (Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students). Student visa holders are encouraged to seek training with a CRICOS-registered institution to meet their requirements.

When will I receive my ticket/certificate?

Your certificate will be available in 2-3 business days after you’ve completed the course. Our admin team will also send you the PDF version via email. If you have any inquiries related to your certificate, please click the ‘Enquire Now’ button.

Is this a Nationally Accredited course?

All courses run at Saferight are Nationally Accredited in Australia, except for permit issuers, Height Safety Supervisor, and courses under the VOC category.

Is there a requirement to join this course?

CN Crane Ticket Perth | Franna Crane (Greater Than 3 Tonnes Capacity) overview

The CN Non-Slewing Crane Licence (Franna Crane Ticket) / Non-Slewing Mobile Crane Course at Saferight is aimed at those currently working or seeking work in operational roles in the mining and construction industries who are required to operate a CN Non-Slewing Mobile Crane. This CN Crane Ticket in Perth WA / CN Licence course provides participants with the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical application to safely operate a non-slewing mobile crane with a Maximum Rated Capacity (MRC) exceeding 3 tonnes. The CN Licence will equip you with the skills needed to advance your career.

Participants must hold a current Statement of Attainment/Qualification and High Risk Work Licence for CPCCLDG3001 – Licence to Perform Dogging prior to attending this course.

Students will attain the theoretical knowledge and the practical application to operate a non-slewing mobile crane with a Maximum Rated Capacity (MRC) exceeding 3 tonnes safely and will be able to:

Plan Work/Task

Confirm task requirements, lift plan, site condition, crane capacity, gear limits, assess paths, identify hazards, establish communication.

Prepare for Work/Task

Consult on lift plan, check crane safety, set up crane, inspect logbook, assess weather conditions, calculate load weight and gear limits.

Perform Work/Task

Conduct lifts within crane capacity, position boom/jib, use lifting gear, monitor load movement, follow communication signals, land load safely.

Drive Articulated Mobile Crane

Secure crane items, perform operational checks, check tyre pressures, set boom for driving, follow traffic regulations.

Driving Operations

Maneuver crane, maintain steering, apply one-handed techniques, manage braking, avoid driving hazards.

Pack Up

Stow equipment, apply locks and brakes, shut down crane, perform post-operational checks.

To enrol in the CN Crane Ticket in Perth WA (also known as the CN Licence / Franna Ticket Perth) course, participants must:

Before attending this course, participants must hold a valid/current Statement of Attainment/Qualification and High Risk Work Licence for:
- CPCCLDG3001 – Licence to Perform Dogging
- Applicants must hold a valid:
  - High-Risk Work Licence OR a copy of their current Notice of Assessment (NOA), and
  - Statement of Attainment/Certificate
Must be 18 years old and above
Present photo I.D. on arrival
Applicants are required to hold a valid Australian Class C licence as a minimum
1. Please note that you will need an HR (Heavy Rigid) Vehicle Licence in order to drive a CN Mobile Crane in the metro area. Please go to the Department of Transport website to apply for this licence as it is not included in the training provided.
If you have any physical conditions that may affect your ability to complete a course, please visit a doctor and obtain a “Fit for Work” certificate, and send it to our bookings email.

For New HRWL Applications

Select “High Risk Work Licence (New)” and “Photo (6x)” during the enrolment process.

For Transferring an Existing HRWL

Select “High Risk Work Licence (Transfer)” and “Photo (6x)” during the enrolment process.

Right now, you can use earthmoving gear for small lifts (like pipes or pallets) without a special High Risk Work Licence (HRWL), but only if the lift is 3 tonnes or less.
What’s Changing from August 10, 2025?
Here’s the big change: From August 10, 2025, if you use earthmoving gear to lift anything over 3 tonnes, the person driving must have the right High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) for crane operations.
Think of this HRWL as your Earthmoving Equipment Crane Licence in WA for those bigger lifting jobs. It’s all about making sure these lifts are done as safely as using a dedicated crane.
What Gear Does This Affect?
This new rule about needing an earthmoving equipment crane licence WA applies when you use common site machines for lifting heavy loads (over 3 tonnes). This includes:
Excavators

Skid steer loaders

Graders

Backhoes

Front-end loaders / Wheeled loaders
If the machine is lifting materials (not just digging or pushing dirt) and the load is over the 3-tonne limit, the operator needs the licence by the deadline.
What Kind of Licence Do You Need? (CN or C2)
There are two main HRWL tickets you might need:
CN Licence (Non-Slewing Mobile Crane): This is for gear where the load doesn’t swing side-to-side separately from the machine body (like a standard front-end loader lifting something).
