The MARF041 Observe Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (PSSR) course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to maintain safe working practices and positive relationships on board vessels.
This nationally accredited unit covers safety procedures, teamwork, communication, and emergency response in accordance with maritime regulations. It is ideal for individuals starting a career in the maritime or offshore industry, focusing on personal safety, social responsibility, and compliance with workplace health and safety standards.
Students will attain the theory and practical application to Observe Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (PSSR) properly and will be able to:
Planning and conducting work safely in line with WHS/OHS and vessel procedures
Identifying and managing hazards and risks on board
Contributing to safety meetings, inspections, and emergency response
Communicating effectively and maintaining positive working relationships with crew
Recording and reporting safety incidents and workplace hazards

All courses run at Saferight are Nationally Accredited in Australia, except for permit issuers, Height Safety Supervisor, and courses under the VOC category.

Individuals holding a student visa are not eligible to enrol in, participate in, or attend any of our courses, whether face-to-face or online. Because Saferight is not registered with CRICOS (Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students). Student visa holders are encouraged to seek training with a CRICOS-registered institution to meet their requirements.
