If your Notice of Assessment (NOA) has expired and you need to be reissued a new one, you must return to Saferight to complete a formal reassessment. This process ensures compliance with licensing regulations and validates your ongoing competency for high-risk work.
If you do not pass your High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) assessment, you may be eligible to complete a reassessment. This ensures you remain competent and meet WorkSafe WA licensing requirements.
Eligibility
Within 60 days of your first assessment:
You can re-sit only the part(s) you didn’t pass.
For theory (knowledge/calculations) – you only redo the questions you got wrong.
For practical (performance) – you only redo the tasks you were not yet competent in.
After 60 days: Your Notice of Assessment (NOA) will have expired. Once expired, it cannot be altered or reissued. You must complete a full reassessment (the entire theory and/or practical assessment, as required) at the full course fee.
Your NOA is valid for 60 days only.
Any reassessment fees will be discussed with you before booking, so you know what to expect.
Reassessments are scheduled on set assessment-only days, usually:
Day 2 of a 2-day course
Days 3 & 4 of a 4-day course
Your reassessment may be conducted by a different accredited assessor than your original assessment.
Why is this required?
WorkSafe WA requires that reassessments for HRWL classes are completed within 60 days of your initial assessment. This is outlined in the WorkSafe Accredited Assessor Conditions (Conditions 32–34) and supported by Regulation 134(1) of the Work Health and Safety (General) Regulations 2022, which states that assessments conducted outside the 60-day period cannot result in a WA High Risk Work Licence.
Reassessments include both theory and practical components and must be completed on designated assessment-only days, typically:
Day 2 of a 2-day course
Days 3 and 4 of a 4-day course
Be advised that your assessor for the reassessment may be different to your original assessor. Please contact our team to confirm reassessment dates for your specific course.
The reassessment fee is 50% of the original course fee.
This covers the cost of administering the reassessment and issuing a new NOA in line with licensing regulations.
Reassessments must be booked in advance. Please contact us via phone or email to secure your spot.
Upon successful completion of the reassessment, a new NOA will be issued to the student.
Only courses that lead to a NOA (e.g. high-risk work licences) are eligible for reassessment.
If you need to book a reassessment, please contact our team. We’ll guide you through the process and confirm any associated costs.
