Saferight is not CRICOS-registered (Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students). As a result, we are unable to enrol students who hold a Student Visa (Subclass 500), which is typically issued to individuals studying at a university. Enrolling in our courses while on a student visa may place our organisation in breach of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act).
If you are on a student visa and wish to enrol in a course, we encourage you to visit the CRICOS course and provider search website, where you can find a CRICOS-registered RTO offering the course you are interested in.
Please be aware that enrolling in a course with a non-CRICOS RTO while holding a student visa may result in a breach of your visa conditions and could lead to serious consequences from the Immigration Department.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Saferight offers high-quality training in various industries, including mining, construction, and emergency response. Our courses are designed for individuals who meet the following criteria:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents: Australian citizens and permanent residents are welcome to enrol in any of our nationally accredited training programs.
International Students: While Saferight is not CRICOS-registered, we offer training to international students on valid visas, provided they meet specific visa requirements. For student visa holders, please note that Saferight cannot enrol students on a Student Visa Subclass 500 due to government regulations. We recommend checking CRICOS-registered providers for courses if you’re on a student visa.
Dependents of student visa holders (for example, a spouse on a Subclass 500 visa) can enrol in our courses, as long as they are not the primary student enrolled in university study.
If you’re on a student visa, please let us know whether you are the primary student or a dependent. If you’re a dependent and not currently enrolled in formal university study, you are eligible to enrol in our courses.
Saferight offers training opportunities for a wide range of visa holders. However, please note that there are specific eligibility requirements based on your visa type. Australia has 72 different visa types, divided into six categories. You can explore these visa types in more detail here.
For more information on your specific visa conditions, you can check them here.
If your visa includes condition 8202 – Meet Course Requirements, which requires enrolment in CRICOS-registered courses, you will not be eligible to train for certain courses at Saferight, as we are not a CRICOS-registered provider.
Please note that the Australian Government has exempted certain courses from CRICOS requirements. This means that student visa holders may be eligible to undertake these specific courses with a non-CRICOS RTO, such as Saferight.
We have attached the list of exempted courses for your reference. You can also find more details on the Federal Register of Legislation – Education Services for Overseas Students (Exempt Courses) Instrument 2021.
