Module 2 - Introduction to VET overview

Want to start a career in training and assessing?

Module 2 is the second stage for anyone looking to step into a training and assessment role or begin their pathway toward the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122).

This module covers TAEPDD401 – Work effectively in the VET sector, introducing an overview into the of Australian vocational education and training (VET). Including a regulatory requirements, compliance obligations, and the role of trainers and assessors within registered training organisations and workplace training environments.

TAEPDD401 – Work effectively in the VET sector

Entry Requirements

To enrol in this course, participants must:

Must be 18 years old and above
Present a valid photo I.D. on arrival
Have a USI (Unique Student Identifier)
Complete a short pre-enrolment process, including: Course suitability review & Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) Assessment. If you have any concerns about your LLN skills, we encourage you to contact us before enrolling.
If you have any physical conditions that may affect your ability to complete a course, please visit a doctor and obtain a “Fit for Work” certificate, and send it to our bookings email.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Already experienced? You may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). RPL recognises skills and knowledge gained through work, previous training, or industry experience and may reduce the time required to complete the course. Credit transfer is also available for equivalent units already completed. Please contact us for more information.

Assessment

Assessment is competency-based and focused on real outcomes, including:

Theory sessions (in class discussions and online assessments)
Practical scenario sessions

Certification

On successful completion of this course, students will be issued with a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for the unit below:
