Want to start a career in training and assessing?

Module 4 is the fourth stage for anyone looking to step into a training and assessment role or begin their pathway toward the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122).

This module covers three core units of the Certificate IV, including TAEDES411 – Use nationally recognised training products to meet vocational training needs, TAEASS412 – Assess competence, and TAEASS413 – Participate in assessment validation.
You’ll develop practical skills in competency-based assessment, including assessment planning, evidence collection, making assessment decisions, and participating in validation activities in line with national standards and regulatory requirements.

This module is also delivered as the standalone Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00019) for those looking to work specifically as assessors.

Entry Requirements

To enrol in this course, participants must:

Must be 18 years old and above
Present a valid photo I.D. on arrival
Have a USI (Unique Student Identifier)
Complete a short pre-enrolment process, including: Course suitability review & Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) Assessment. If you have any concerns about your LLN skills, we encourage you to contact us before enrolling.
If you have any physical conditions that may affect your ability to complete a course, please visit a doctor and obtain a “Fit for Work” certificate, and send it to our bookings email.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Already experienced? You may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). RPL recognises skills and knowledge gained through work, previous training, or industry experience and may reduce the time required to complete the course. Credit transfer is also available for equivalent units already completed. Please contact us for more information.

Assessment

Assessment is competency-based and focused on real outcomes, including:

Theory sessions (in class discussions and online assessments)
Practical scenario sessions

Certification

On successful completion of this course, students will be issued with a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for the units below:

Students will be provided with morning tea and refreshments for all courses run at Saferight.
